This year’s Wrong Wave, curated by Sydney Hermant, has more performances and more venues than before. Starting with a screening of Charles Atlas’s film Hail the New Puritan at Pacific Cinematheque (Thursday, October 24), the festival includes participatory dance at the Western Front (Friday, October 25), a night of music and installation including orphans and dogs, Mark Szabo, and Yuriko Iga at UNIT/PITT (Saturday, October 26), and performances by Kensington Gore and White Poppy at SFU Woodwards (Sunday, October 27).
Admission prices are already low — $5 for each of the two nights of music, and $11 for the film screening — but the best deal is a festival pass, available in advance for $15.
