Orphans and Dogs contains unfiltered and unapologetic writing, photographic compositions, and drawings by Elizabeth Fischer, and her translation of Humorom by Attila Balogh, a Hungarian Roma poet. Throughout these stories, fragments, and poems, Fischer takes a personal, honest, and unsensationalized approach to experiences and observations of poverty, exile, and alienation.
This book was originally published to accompany the exhibition Elizabeth Fischer: Orphans and Dogs, in June and July of 2015.
